Who can become The Place?
Any individual, collective, or organization working with coffee — across production, processing, trade, quality, education, logistics, media, or support services. Scale, volume, and role don't determine eligibility. What matters is readiness to act within shared values and to take responsibility for the consequences of your decisions within the system.
Do I have to rebrand?
No. You may use The Place as your primary name — with a local identifier — or as a designation alongside your existing identity, without changing your legal name, branding, or market presence. The form you choose is coordinated with The Better Coffee Office, which supports naming coherence across the entire system.
How do I start?
Purchase the license — 1,500 EUR (Sustainable) or 2,500 EUR (Supporter) — and The Better Coffee Office will reach out to begin onboarding: a conversation about your context, your readiness, and how The Place fits within the system. It's a process of mutual recognition, not evaluation. In most cases it takes the form of one or a few online conversations.

Three-year license preserving your autonomy. Three-Tier Pricing applies — Pay-It-Forward may cover the cost. After three years, alignment with The Standard confirmed as reflection, not audit.
