PERCEPTON

Coffee begins in the mind. The School of Percept builds deep sensory awareness far beyond cupping scores. You will study retronasal and orthonasal smell, memory recall, and the cultural biases that distort taste perception. Together we build a personal sensory dictionary — mapping your flavor identity while exploring how language, emotion, and culture shape what we sense. You will compare and critique sensory evaluation frameworks, including The Ranking Method.

HOW IT WORKS

The School of Percept is delivered in-person over 4–5 immersive days. Sessions combine lectures, guided tastings, workshops, and hands-on practice. Much of the learning happens collectively — through group exercises, shared meals, and rituals that bring participants closer together. You build your sensory framework through experience, curiosity, and real work with others.
