HEAT, WATER, TIME
A coffee profile is a conversation — between you, heat, water, time, and the bean. The Profile explores the science and art of roasting and brewing. You will learn to interpret green coffee's potential, design roast curves, and develop repeatable brewing strategies that respect origin, resources, and the people behind the coffee. From heat transfer and energy balance to extraction variables, you will connect technical decisions to flavor, cost, waste, and environmental impact.
HOW IT WORKS
The Profile is delivered in-person over 5 full days of lab experiments, guided cuppings, and machine calibration workshops. Sessions combine technical depth with systemic thinking — challenging myths of perfection and building a roast and brew practice that is creative, consistent, and deeply respectful. You leave with a personal system of decisions grounded in science and ethics.
